King Von was in fact Dayvon Daquan Bennett. He was born in Chicago on August 9, 1994, to Walter and Taesha. His mother was a single parent. He was the third child of three, and from his father , he had six half-siblings. His father spent a lot of time being held in prison, which meant that Bennett was mostly raised with his mom. When he was 11, Bennett's father was shot and then killed. Bennett was 16 years old when he went to jail to the very first time. That was the beginning of many run-ins with the law. Afterward, he got some college credits from South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. Bennett attempted to rehabilitate himself in the wake of more legal issues. After his collaboration in a band with Lil Durk, Bennett released "Welcome to O'Block" the only album he had. But, an album released posthumously, titled "What is it to be King" was released in March 2022.
