Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news website, is a television personality, author, and an philanthropist. After moving to England from Greece when she was 16 and obtaining an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. In her 21st year, she was head of the famous debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student to do so. She became a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a couple of years following, she launched an online platform for voice which offered critiques of politics. Her fame and popularity helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 when she decided to contest independently during the California recall election to replace then Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of an Detroit project that promoted the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes named her as one of the "most influential woman" within the field of media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as president of the media group, which also included other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. She was extremely close to her father, but it was her relationship with her mother which formed her. When she was a teen, she showed leadership traits which she is still renowned for. at the age of 16 she emigrated back to United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college, she joined Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college which she later became the first foreign and female president. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. Her professional career as a journalist and television host was born after graduation. Also, she appeared on an edition of Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books, utilizing editorial guidance from Bernard Levin.
