Sheryl Underwood, a American comedian and television host most well-known as host on The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised in the area of Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has a turbulent family. Sheryl was a part of her youth helping her younger sister Frankie with polio. As a teenager, she experienced many issues with her mother. Sheryl claims that in an instance, her mother knifed her father after he got too intimate with her. Sheryl enlisted in the military following her graduation from college. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the first female winner of the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. In 1992, she began her TV debut with regular appearances on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was host of The show Oh Drama! In 2011, she's a cohost of the Talk show. In addition she has also played fictional roles in series like Bulworth Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
